About the Artist:

Having grown up in the valley separating the Catskills and the Shawangunks, Steve Aaron has been influenced by these two distinct landforms for his entire life. Both the Catskills and the Shawangunks have been capturing Steve’s photographic attention first as a young photography student, and more recently as an award-winning landscape photographer. Steve’s instinctual understanding of the topography of the region informs his work, resulting in unique perspectives of both well-known and more remote landscapes in the area.

Steve devotes much of his work in support of land conservation, outdoor recreation and regional tourism. His work can be seen in print and on-line publications of many national and regional non-profit organizations devoted to these causes.

Steve’s work has been displayed in galleries throughout the Hudson Valley as well as in New York City, New Jersey and New England.
