Join us for a sunset hike to the top of Hook Mountain. Sign-up now and we'll send you all the info you need. Cost includes expert guiding from West Mountain Guide Co and a camp meal from Good-to-Go at the top! We'll meet at 4pm. Headlamps for the hike down required, micro spikes strongly encouraged (and might be required depending on the weather!). Everyone who signs up gets a discount card to be used at the shop! Varying in distance (and altitudes) (and location on the Long Path Trail), guided expeditions unlock community through the great outdoors while showing off the beauty and greatness of the Hudson Valley. Our evening hike times will be based on sunset time so expect them to start a little later as the warmer weather arrives. For our day hikes, we'll meet at 8:15 am at the trailhead and expect 4-7 miles, depending on our route.

Meet the Guides:

Lauren & Henri de la Vega are long-distance backpackers, New York State Licensed Guides, and founders of West Mountain Guide Co. LLC. Together, they have backpacked the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, and the Continental Divide Trail, with Henri also completing the Florida Trail. The combined 16,000+ miles of thru-hiking they’ve experienced has fueled their desire to help others experience the backcountry.
